Plugging into your New Community after Relocation

Okay, so you moved from San Fran to Redwood City for that new job. Great! You had All in Moving Systems handle your professional moving needs. We’re glad you chose us. You planned to unpack everything on the weekend and finally you completed it. Guess what, it’s not over. As you may know it takes a great deal of research to get plugged into your new community. Luckily, for you we have compiled a cheat sheet of pro tips on moving and settling into your new community.

You can Google search hospitals, doctors, dentists, libraries, DMV (nooo!) and of course your nearest Starbucks for caffeine emergencies. There are other institutions that you should keep in mind. Here are a few with links provided:

Libraries are also great resources for newcomers. They often keep lists of local agencies that you may need support from or didn’t even know existed. Some cities and townships even offer new residents a city ambassador who will meet you at your home and answer any questions you may have about your new community. Also, religious houses, grocery stores, and malls usually also have a community board where you can check out local events so you can meet some new friends nearby.
